A state-of-the-art 450t telescopic crane for Gheysens

The fleet of Gheysens Cranes was expanded with a state-of-the-art telescopic crane with a capacity of 450 tonnes. Thanks to this expansion, Gheysens Cranes is the first in the Benelux to have a Tadano Demag AC 7.450-1 in its fleet.
As a 7-axle crane, the new telescopic crane 450t is as compact and manoeuvrable as other six-axle cranes and can be set up in the same space as a crane class 250t – 300t. Despite its compact dimensions, this 7-axle crane can effortlessly perform the work of an 8-axle crane. Thanks to its hydraulically extendable boom with a length of 80 metres and a fixed or luffing jib of up to 81 metres, this telescopic crane has a reach of up to 98 metres and a height of as much as 135 metres.

The crane’s own weight is less than 90t. As a result, there is no need for additional guidance exceptional transport, which means that transporting this crane does not incur any additional costs.
“We are immensely proud of this investment. Not only because of the 450-tonne capacity, but especially because of the compactness of the crane and the long telescopic boom. This combination allows us to move a lot of weight from a limited area.

“We are always modernising our fleet to stay strong in the market with the latest and most modern machines. Partly to comply with stricter emission regulations, but also out of our own conviction. We too want to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.”
